Mall Mishaps…

I was chilling at the mall with my girls a few months ago when this pretty large group of guys walked by. I noticed a few of them from my school, although I didn’t know them personally. I’m pretty shy but my friends had been pushing me all day to talk to at least one guy that I thought was cute. One of the guys in this group was really cute so I finally got my nerve and reached out to touch his hand (just to get his attention). He stopped AND so did his girlfriend who had been walking next to him (I guess I missed her in the crowd). I tried to play it off by saying that I thought he was someone else. I could tell she didn’t believe me because of the huge frown on her face. So I just mumbled ‘my bad’ and tried to walk away as fast as I could. I was so embarrassed!

Teen fashion icon Teyana Taylor was spotted backstage at Diesel’s premiere of their swim wear collection during Miami Fashion Week. The 17 year-old also performed her new single “Move” after showing off her great abs on the catwalk.

On Wednesday, July 16th, tennis star Venus Williams presented at the 2008 ESPY Awards hosted by Justin Timberlake. She arrived looking gorgeous after a long day of interviews at Larry King Live and The Tonight Show. She also filmed a documentary for the Sundance Channel on the same day!

Mario Dewar Barrett is an American R&B and pop singer from Baltimore, MD who is best known for his hit singles “Just a Friend 2002″ (2002) and “Let Me Love You” (2004), which won him two Billboard awards, as well as for appearing in the films Step Up and Freedom Writers. Club Queen K-Swift (Khia Edgerton) 29, a notable DJ who was featured nightly on 92Q (a popular hip-hop station in Baltimore) died earlier today at her home following a pool party held there last night. Reports are still circulating, but K-Swift apparently was pulled from her pool after revelers noticed that she failed to surface after jumping in moments earlier. Attempts to revive her failed and she was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital. TDO would like to extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the family, friends and fans of K-Swift.
