a huge chunk of pizza came flying out of mouth and landed directly on his plate.  It was so obvious that both of us saw the food fly out AND land. He was in mid-sentence at the time and immediately stopped what he was saying, only to stare at the nasty chewed up chunk of pepperoni pizza staring back at him.  “Um, you lost something”… is all he managed to say. I got up, grabbed my discarded piece of food and ran to the bathroom. Hey, I didn’t know what else to do… I was sooooo embarrassed.  After five minutes, I heard a light knock at the door and someone calling my name. I realized it was him and cracked the door open. He was standing there (looking as cute as ever), encouraging me to come out. ‘Hey, it happens to all of us, now at least I know you’re human”.  I thought that was so sweet and I immediately forgot about how embarrassed I’d been! - Rosa, 17 (Charlotte, NC)
