Have you ever been frustrated trying to find the exact number or address to your favorite shoe store? I can definitely relate. There’s been a number of times that I’ve circled Greenwich Village in NYC trying to find Marc by Marc Jacobs. Somehow, after numerous visits to the shop, I always get lost on the way there. say your city and state, then the business you are looking for. In a matter of seconds, you are provided with the number you desire by an automated voice and text message (if you’re on a mobile phone). Don’t know the exact name of the company you’re seeking? No problem. Just state the category in which this business falls into and a list of local businesses will come up in the area you’ve told Goog-411. Additional information including address can be retrieved as well by saying “details”. Even cooler, say “map it” and your mobile Internet will go straight to a map of the neighborhood where this company resides. Best of all, everything is free of charge! This is a really useful tool that keeps us ahead of the curve and amidst a frail economy. Thanks to Google, life just got a little bit easier.
