The American Music Awards, which is one of several annual US award shows, went down last night (November 22nd) at the Nokia theater in Los Angeles, CA. Unlike the Grammy awards, in which winners are chosen based on votes by members of the entertainment industry, the AMAs are determined by a poll of music buyers, and as a result is more of a true representation of what the general public thinks (VIEW WINNERS LIST HERE).

Janet Jackson kicked off Sunday night’s festivities in Los Angeles and entertainers such as Adam Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Shakira, and Whitney Houston followed with elaborate performances. ET’s Kevin Frazier spoke to some of the artists after their show-stopping routines ➫
